The Vidor Group was founded in October of 1978.

Our groups first meeting was to be on a Friday, but in true Texan fashion the meeting was postponed due to a high school football game. Gotta be there for our Vidor Pirates. Vidor was in the playoffs, and won that year.

GO PIRATES!

Originally located at 385 Orange Street, the group had to move due to raising of the rent. We relocated to 440 East Bolivar Street, in the building that is now the Vidor Public Library, but had to relocate again because the Boy Scouts also used said building and folks felt it inappropriate for those young persons to be exposed to ourselves. From there the group migrated to a building just off Main Street in town near what is now the Taco Bell restaurant. Again relocation was necessary due to a lack of lavatory facilities, the women of the group found this to be  inconvenient.. As most people would.

From there the group moved to a two story brick building on main street, located across the street from what use to be Woods Grocery, which is now Woods Mini Storage. This placement was found to be too small and once again we moved, to our current location at 595 Old Hwy 90.

The Vidor Group is populated with diverse persons, who really care for their suffering brethren. I hope you will join us, trudging this road to happiness.
